The FUNAE – Energy Fund, FP, and the Nigerian Rural Electrification Agency (REA) reaffirmed their joint determination to strengthen cooperation in identifying African renewable energy solutions, economic empowerment and inclusive growth.

The commitment was made within the framework of the Technical Mission for Exchange of Experiences, which took place throughout the week in Nigeria, with the aim of strengthening the technical and institutional capabilities of the parties involved.

During the exchange, topics such as electrification of sanitary units, access to finance and investment, operational networks, sustainability and development of the energy sector were discussed. — aspects considered vital to boost the growth of access to energy and improve the quality of life of rural communities.

The mission, carried out with the support of the Belgian Cooperation Agency, also highlighted the importance of collaboration between African institutions responsible for rural electrification and promoting access to energy on the continent.
