The Energy Fund, FP (FUNAE) is part of the ministerial delegation that will take part in the 1st edition of SADC Sustainable Energy Week in Gaberone, Botswana from 24 to 28 this month.
The Mozambican delegation, headed by the Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy, will be represented by the respective Chairman of the Board of Directors, Isália Dimene, along with other executives in the sector.
The meeting provides an opportunity to boost political synergies for a sustainable energy transition in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) area, and to address issues relating to innovative funding for renewable energy projects.
Maputo, 07 March (FUNAE) – FUNAE technicians recently visited the Republic of India where they carried out inspective activities at the facilities of Sanvaru, a company supplying energy storage battery systems (BESS).
On the visit to Sonipat, Haryana province, the FUNAE tables assessed at source whether the BESS produced meet the specifications of the competition and in line with the specifications intended for the electrification programmes that the institution is developing.
In 2021, FUNAE initiated the migration from the conventional system to the containerised system, which optimises the electrification process in off-grid areas, since in the event of the arrival of the public network, it allows BESS to be removed to another area of the country that is not yet electrified.
