The Energy Fund, FP, abbreviated "FUNAE, FP", is a Mozambican public institution established under Decree No 24/97 of 22 July, with the amendments introduced by Decree 101/2020 of 12 November, with the aim of financing and implementing energy projects in order to increase their access in rural areas, is a public institution created with the aim of financing and implementing energy projects, especially in rural areas. Under Decree No 24/97, FUNAE aims to increase access to energy, promoting off-grid electrification and focusing on renewable energies.
